German basketball icon Dirk Nowitzki was spotted in Tagaytay City enjoying the scenery just a day after he arrived in the country.
Photos by lawyer Ian Ludovice show the Dallas Mavericks legend having lunch at Balay Dako, an acclaimed Filipino restaurant in the area run by the Antonio’s Group.
Tagaytay City is a popular weekend destination for Metro Manila residents for its proximity to the city and its cool weather.
The player was also seen signing some basketball cards. He also visited craft brewery Papa Bolo owned by Cavite 8th District Rep. Aniela Tolentino.
Nowitzki, who retired in 2019, is in the country for the Fiba World Cup 2023 draw at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on Saturday. Also in the country are fellow NBA legends Yao Ming and Luis Scola.
