Customs chief Ruffy Biazon, 33 others charged for alleged pork scam connection

The list of names that the Department of Justice just released could also serve as Santa’s naughty list.

“The second batch of charges were filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday, Nov 29, against 34 individuals for their alleged involvement in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam,” reports ANC. They said persons will be charged malversation, direct bribery, and graft and corrupt practices punishable under the Anti- Graft and Corrupt Practices Law before the Ombudsman.

The report revealed that included in the list ars seven former congressmen, two agents of congressmen, three heads of implementing agencies, two Napoles NGO presidents, seven officials and employees of implementing agencies, 12 resident auditors of implementing agencies, and, of course, Janet Lim Napoles.

Perhaps, the most “shocking” name on the list is that of former Muntinlupa representative and current Bureau of Customs (BOC) chief Ruffy Biazon. The other former congressmen named in the list were Salacnib Baterina (1st District Ilocos Sur), Douglas Cagas (1st District Davao del Sur), Marc Douglas Cagas IV (1st District Davao del Sur), Arrel R. Olaño (1st District Davao del Norte), Arthur Pingoy Jr. (2nd District South Cotabato), and Rodolfo Valencia (1st District Oriental Mindoro).
