While showbiz personalities haven’t fared well in their run for national seats, there are those who have been victorious in their bid for local posts.
“Former sexy actress Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez was proclaimed by the Tacloban City Board of Canvassers (CBOC) early morning Tuesday as the winner of the mayoralty race,” reports Sharon Evite on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Romualdez got 72,077 votes while her opponents Neil Glova got 23,612 votes and Golda Hilda Cabudoy only had 379 votes.
The outgoing mayor of Tacloban City is Romualdez’s husband, Alfred.
