In Pasay City, a notorious pickpocket with the very burgis name of Jose Saavedra was seriously wounded after being shot in the back by an irate gangmate who had asked him to sell a mobile phone. The suspect, who goes by the name ‘Nash’, shot Saavedra, 32, because he didn’t give back the proceeds of the sale. Records show that Saavedra had previously posted bail for illegal possession of firearms and a couple of violations of different city ordinances, so it looks like he’ll be heading back to the slammer as soon as he recovers.
