Crime face-off: Taguig vs Navotas

Today: Welcome to the hacker diaries. No, not the online kind.

SUSPECT #1: MANUEL CUNTAPAY, 63
Scene of the crime: Lower Bicutan, Taguig City
The incident: It could have been hunger or intoxication, but whatever possessed 63-year-old Manuel Cuntapay, a tricycle driver, to repeatedly hit and try to hack to death his three young children is beyond forgiving. The driver insists he was very hungry and flipped when he got home and saw no food on the dining table. He turned on his daughters, ages 12 and 11, and his youngest son, eight years old. Cuntapay first beat them with his belt, then ran to get a bolo. He tried to hack at the poor children, wounding the two girls at the arms and legs. The heavily intoxicated dad was arrested after neighbors reported the incident to the police. Cuntapay’s wife refuses to file charges against him.
WTH dude: That money you spent on booze? You should have used it to buy food instead.

VERSUS

SUSPECTS #2-4: JUNIO, ALDY, AND EDWIN TONGCO
Scene of the crime: Tangos, Navotas City
The incident: Three drunk brothers hang around Roldan Street in Barangay Tangos. They chance upon one Alberto Banate and pick on him for no apparent reason. The siblings draw bolos and begin hacking at the victim, then run and throw away their bladed weapons after seeing their victim slumped on the ground. Banate, a family man, is pronounced dead on arrival at Tondo General Hospital. The Tongco brothers are now the subject of a police manhunt.
WTH dude: The family that hacks together should also be jailed together.
