MATCH #1: Roberto Paulino vs Julieto Oliver, two straight men

The incident: Retired police officer Roberto Paulino, 56, and Julieto Oliver, 41, are cockfighting aficionados from Tondo, Manila. Today, the two buddies have an argument in the middle of the arena. Oliver takes advantage of the situation and fires several more shots at Paulino, killing him on the spot. Oliver is brought to Mary Johnston Hospital for treatment but he dies the next day. The reason for the two sabong buddies’s fight is still unknown.

The incident: X-ray technician Rick Unido, 34, and Reggie Nuestro, 20, a college student, belongs to the same circle of male-loving friends. They normally drink and party together until the wee hours of the morning. Tonight, after a gathering at Six Plus One Videoke bar, Unido and Nuestro trade barbs on the way home. The retorts get catty and nasty, and the two began exchanging blows. As their friends watch in horror, Nuestro grabs a sharp pair of scissors from his bag and repeatedly stabs Unido. Apart from his wounded pride, the X-ray technician is being treated for stab wounds at Mandaluyong Medical Center.
