BOOZER # 1: ALFONSO ALINGCOMOT, 57
Scene of the crime: Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City
The incident: This 57-year-old man is happily drinking with his buddy Francisco Faura on David Street, Bagong Barrio, when three armed men arrive. They shoot at Alingcomot without warning and run away with the murder weapon. Police are chasing after the suspects, one of whom was identified only as “Cholo”. Authorities are wondering if the suspects are hired killers.
WTH dude: If you’re going anyway, you might as well go while doing something you love, eh?

BOOZER # 2: DOMINADOR BIGNOTEA
Scene of the crime: Sta Mesa, Manila
The incident: This 31-year-old stay-in houseboy is a known boozer. His almost nightly drinking sessions with fellow houseboy Leomar Ampuan is no secret to their employer, Ismael Caspe. It’s not an issue, as long as Bignotea gets up early to do his job. This morning is a little different. He’s not up by 6am and when Caspe and his two-year-old child came to check on him, he is no longer breathing. But Bignotea bore no wounds or any indication of foul play.
WTH dude: Could it have been the booze that killed him?
