Filipino students spend a lot of time and effort coming up with the perfect “creative” graduation photo. This student took it up a notch and dressed as her — and everyone’s — current favorite drink.

Recent college graduate Em Zuñiga is now viral after posting her creative graduation photo where she dressed up like a cup of milk tea.

In the photo she posted on Facebook late last month, the Saint Pedro Poveda College alum can be seen wearing a light brown dress with black cutouts made to look like black pearls and a large straw sticking out of her head.

“[P]ositiviTEA. [N]ot sponsored. But if they want to, that’s fine. Joke,” she said on her caption in English and Filipino. And if there’s any doubt that she’s a milk tea fan, she added the hashtag “#Milkteaislife.”

Many thought it was so cool that the photo has been shared more than 4,600 times.

Like in many Asian cities, Filipinos are big fans of milk tea. The craze has gotten so big that several international milk tea brands have opened up stores in the Philippines’ busiest malls. They attract tons of customers, who are willing to wait in line for hours just for a cup.

Zuñiga counts herself as one of these milk tea fans. In a Facebook Messenger interview with Coconuts Manila, she said: “I thought of dressing up as a milk tea since I am a huge huge fan of milk tea since I was in high school. Milk tea became my comfort drink and my stress reliever as well.”

She said her family and friends weren’t surprised that she would dress up as a milk tea, but that they were shocked when the photo blew up on social media.

Zuñiga didn’t expect the barrage of online attention either. She said she was “super surprised” and that she did not expect it at all.

Those who saw Zuñiga’s photo had only good things to say. One said she was really beautiful.
