Cow in Davao City ‘under arrest’ for disrupting traffic

We’re guessing it’s still a bit less stressful than the hellish car congestion in EDSA.

At around 5am on Mon, Oct 3, a cow disrupted traffic  in Panacan, Davao City. Thus, the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) had to take it into custody, Manila Bulletin reports.

CTTMO chief Rhodelio Poliquit  said that stray animals regularly cause traffic problems in the area.

In fact, Poliquit explained that they have officially filed a complaint at the city hall about stray animals crossing the busy highway.

Nobody has come forward to claim the cow yet, but when the owner does show up, he or she needs to pay a PHP200 fine.

There’s also an additional PHP1,500 “storage fee” for the cow, which is temporarily staying at the CTTMO compund.
