Quezon City councilor Jessica Castelo Daza wants cinema owners to let persons with disabilities in for free once a week.
Citing the city council’s duty to take care of the disabled, Daza says PWDs are in the same situation as senior citizens, who already have the right to watch a movie for free every Monday and Tuesday, reports Jeannette Andrade in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Makati is already implementing a similar PWD-friendly policy where they can watch movies for free anytime of the week upon presentation of local government-issued movie booklets.
