Cops consider changing protocol after Vhong Navarro incident

With all the government agencies scrambling to help Vhong Navarro, he should be able to get justice for what happened to him quickly. In this country, that qualifies as a miracle.

“The Southern Police District (SPD) is studying revisions in its standard operating procedures after the mauling incident that involved Navarro,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report cited SPD director Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte, who said that they will be “recommending some changes in the protocol regarding the filing of blotter reports” because the current protocol “does not require authorities to get medical records from injured people who will file a blotter report at their office.”

With the current procedure, it seems that people can claim to have been hurt or injured without having to present proof for it. That’s great for real victims. Then again, there are people who may abuse the privilege.

So, thank you, Vhong Navarro, you are an agent of change. (Seriously, the cops noticed that loophole in their protocol just now!?)
