The things you do (or don’t do) eventually catch up with you.
“On Friday, Jan 10, taxi driver Monrey Montenegro was arrested for abandoning a pedestrian who was hit by his cab last week in Quezon City,” reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Montenegro had confessed that he left his cab (Mama Taxi with license plate number TWS 729) — and the dead man, 66-year-old Romulo Oliveros, inside it — outside Quezon City General Hospital because he was too scared to face criminal charges.
The cab was, of course, eventually traced back to Montenegro’s employer and, thus, Montenegro himself.
