He was only crossing the street when he got killed.
“In the early hours of Tuesday, June 10, Police Officer 3 Edgardo Macogue, 43, a member of the Quezon City police mobile patrol unit, was killed after he was hit by a speeding car in Barangay 177, Caloocan City,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
Macogue was crossing Zabarte Road in front of the W-Grill restaurant when a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Mark Anthony Posadas reportedly hit him.
Macogue was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
Posadas has been charged for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
