“If only I could have him killed.”
That’s what a woman said about a man who allegedly raped her 14-year-old daughter in Barangay (Village) Old Balara in Quezon City last night, according to GMA News’ Unang Balita.
The suspect was identified as 21-year-old construction worker Jag Loyd Sasutil.
According to the victim’s mother, she told her daughter, a grade 7 student, to find and call her four siblings to come and eat dinner at home. Hours had passed but the girl was still not home, the report added.
Remate reported that the mother was tipped that her daughter was seen at the nearby river with a man. The suspect and the victim were then spotted stark naked near the river, where the victim was rescued.
The victim’s mother said on GMA News’ Unang Balita that her daughter was threatened to go with the suspect.
She said in a mix of English and Filipino: “She was threatened, [he said] ‘Stay here, we’ll just do it fast. I’ll hurt you.’ So, of course, my daughter was scared.”
Sasutil confessed about the act and received a beating from concerned locals, ABS-CBN News reported. He asked for forgiveness from the victim’s parents. However, he also defended himself and said that he was courting the girl and that she was not forced to have sex.
The victim’s mother has decided to file rape charges against Sasutil who is now detained at the Quezon City Police District Station 6.
