Comelec: teachers paid for election duty

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) insists that teachers who rendered services on the May 13 elections have already been paid.

In an ABS CBN News report, Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes explained that the teachers have been paid through cash cards from UCPB and the Land Bank of the Philippines. He also said the the poll body paid for these cash cards contrary to reports that the teachers were charged PHP200 each for these.
