COMELEC opens voter registration, off-site validation booths in 4 Robinsons Mall sites

You can do your duty as a citizen and then watch a movie afterwards.

“To encourage the voting public to have their biometrics taken and register for the 2016 national elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has opened its first mall registration and off-site validation booths in four Robinsons Malls sites: Galleria, Manila, Metro East, and Forum on EDSA corner Pioneer in Mandaluyong City,” reports InterAksyon.com.

The report noted: “This is the poll body’s pro-active response to the low turnout of applicants in local COMELEC offices since registration started in May.”

The COMELEC mall operations will start at 10am and will last until 5pm.

Overall, voter registration runs until Oct 15, 2015.

Before you head to the mall of your choice, it’s best to check out the COMELEC website or call the COMELEC office in your district so you’ll be sure that the mall registration will work for you.

When it comes to transactions involving government entities, it’s always better to call first. The situations may vary at any given time. Take note: Call first before you head there.
