Sayonara, mamang pulis!
The Commission on Election has approved the relief of three police officials in Metro Manila found to underdeclare crime statistics in their areas. The Comelec agreed with the decision of Metro Manila police director Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo to remove from their posts Senior Superintendents Rodolfo Llorca, Arthur Asis and Florendo Quibuyen after an internal investigation discovered the officials tinkered with crime statistics in Pasay, Taguig and Mandaluyong, respectively.
But wait, why is Comelect making the decision? Since we are in the middle of an election period, Comelec has full control of the national police.
The three police officials have been sent to Camp Crame while the administrative investigation is ongoing, reports Non Alquitran in The Philippine Star. Garbo assigned the replacements and reshuffled his men around the National Capital Region Police Office.
