COMELEC imposes liquor ban on Oct 27 and 28

If you’re planning on sampling cocktails, remember that the liquor ban will kick in soon.

“The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is reminding the public that the liquor ban that will be imposed on October 27 and 28 in connection with the 2013 barangay polls,” reports Jomari D. Guillermo in Manila Bulletin.

Take note: The ban starts at 1201 am of Oct 27 until midnight of Oct 28. According to the COMELEC, the ban “covers the selling, offering, buying, serving, and taking of liquor.”

The liquor ban won’t be imposed in Bohol and Zamboanga, as their barangay polls have been moved to November 25.
