Let’s hope this prevents last-minute panic.
“The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reminds everyone that the registration of voters for the 2016 elections will start on May 6 and will last until October 31, 2015,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
That means, Pinoys have 17 months to register.
Registrants only need to bring a valid identification card then have their biometrics data—fingerprints, and digital face image, and signature—taken.
The COMELEC is expecting around 2.5 to 3 million new voters to register and around 9.6 million registered voters to submit their biometrics data.
