This is one messed up story.
“On Monday, December 29, a 19-year-old college student named Jackie Bugay was stabbed dead at her condominium unit in Manila yesterday by her married ex-boyfriend, who allegedly could not accept their break-up,” reports Aie Balagtas See in The Philippine Star.
The report noted: “House helper Recil Ramos told police she went to the market at around 5am and when she returned around four hours later, she heard Bugay shouting in her bedroom but found the condominium unit’s door locked. So, Ramos and security guard Espino Reyes, passed through a back door to get to the bedroom, where they found Bugay and her ex, Joseph Espiritu, 32, bleeding.”
Bugay and Espiritu, who had slit his throat with the knife he used to stab Bugay, were rushed to the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center (UERMMC).
However, Bugay died while being treated. Espiritu, on the other hand, survived and is now said to be recuperating.
