Coca-Cola Philippines puts ads on hold, will concentrate on Yolanda aid efforts

More and more companies are offering help to Typhoon Yolanda survivors.

“Coca-Cola Philippines and Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines announced on Tuesday that it will put on hold all commercial advertising for all its brands to give way to the relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Yolanda,” reports ABS-CBNNews.com.

Coca-Cola explained in a statement that their ads “will be halted starting November 18 until further notice.” Coca-Cola has already donated more than $2.5 million in cash and in-kind contributions for Yolanda relief efforts. On top of that, they’re providing drinking water and other beverages to the communities affected by the typhoon.

Good deeds are the best kind of “ads.”
