Classes in Tacloban set to resume on December 2

We doubt if things will return to normal soon in Tacloban City, but its residents are slowly picking up the pieces in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda.

“The Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Armin Luistro announced on Tuesday, Nov 26, that classes will resume in Tacloban City December 2,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

In a radio interview, Luistro said “On the first day, we will have a roll call and we will know how many did not make it to school.” He also revealed that,to date, the DepEd has listed around 20 teachers and non-teaching staff who died from Yolanda in Tacloban.
