Class act: Haters slam PNoy on Singapore PM’s Facebook page

There’s a troll inside each one of us, sure. Is there a way to keep it locked up inside?

An innocent photo posted to Facebook by Singapore’s prime minister yesterday morning unwittingly became an avenue for haters of President Noynoy Aquino.

Taken during the 26th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur, it shows nine delegates from the Asean member nations, on a stage, their group photo about to be taken.

“Waiting to take the traditional leaders’ photo, but someone’s missing. #guesswho” wrote Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, who has been using hashtags like #guesswho and #guesswhere on his FB account as a way to interact with his followers.

The answer: PNoy.

But the innocuous question was bait for PNoy’s haters who spammed the post with comments that were either apologizing profusely for his lateness, conjuring reasons why Aquino was late, or shaming their leader for all of Lee’s 752,000 followers to see. THAT is the bigger embarrassment. (If you would like to read those comments, click here.)

Aquino did make it in time for the photo shoot — and gamely showed everyone his signature pose.
