Church in Tacloban tells parishoners to FAP for Lent

Lent is a time of solemnity and reflection, but according to one church in Tacloban City, it’s also a time for “FAP”ing.

We know, what you’re thinking, but no, it’s not the Urban Dictionary definition of “FAP” or masturbation, just an incredibly poorly thought out acronym courtesy of the Catholic Church.

FAP, according to a sign at the Santo Niño Parish in Tacloban City, means “fasting, alms giving and prayer.”

“Join us in our Lenten season F-A-P mission,” the sign says. “One F-A-P a day, makes you better everyday.” *ahem*

This sign was put up during last year’s Lent season, but reposted by Facebook user Hikikomori Hsan Odelot yesterday.

As of today, the post has more than 1,400 shares.

Holy Week is near, guys. Remember to FAP!
