Church donates 7 hectares to Yolanda survivors

Here’s some happy news for a change.

“The Catholic Church in Leyte has donated some seven hectares of property to be used as relocation sites for survivors of supertyphoon Yolanda,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

According to Palo Archbishop John Du, the three hectares donated by the Archdiocese of Palo will be managed by the national government to build a housing project. Meanwhile, the remaining four hectares will be handled by the Church and non-government organizations.

Du, however said, that what they need now is manpower to get the job done.

Our tip: Call for volunteers. Don’t wait for the government to help you.
