Chinese businessman deported for being rude to PAL crew

No taste of Filipino hospitality for you.

A wealthy Chinese businessman was not allowed to step into Philippine soil and was sent back on the first flight to Pudong International Airport in Shanghai on Saturday for being arrogant and rude to the cabin crew of the Philippine Airlines (PAL).

The Chinese national was said to have grabbed a hot towel from the cabin crew and splattered hot water on the face of one of them. Worse,  instead of apologizing, the passenger reportedly continued to shout at the PAL crew. According to the Manila Bulletin, Biqing Liu, 47, was accosted by NAIA II policemen immediately upon his arrival from Shanghai on board PAL flight PR 337.  He was then booked for a flight and flown back to Shanghai the next morning.

Reports said the original request of  PAL cabin crew members led by Josef Randall Tolentino was to offload Biqing during the flight to Manila, but this request was denied. The crew then filed a formal complaint  against Biqing upon their arrival at the NAIA 2. PAL and Immigration officials then processed the Chinese businessman for deportation.
