The Official Gazette — which publishes news from the Office of the President of the Philippines — has shared more photos of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 or NAIA-1.

If you recall, NAIA-1 has been repeatedly tagged as one of the “world’s worst airports.” Its recent improvements may finally be enough to remove it from those notorious lists.

In Jan 2014, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) initiated the long overdue rehabilitation of NAIA-1.

The Official Gazette revealed, “Around 80% of programmed works have been completed. The repairs in passenger movement areas, such as the arrival and departure areas, are expected to be finished by March 31, 2015.”
