Leave it to Filipinos to jump in on anything trending.
Earlier today, Chance the Rapper tweeted “WALA,” which is probably a reference to his song Wala Cam.
In Filipino, “wala” means “no” or “nothing” so seeing Chance’s tweet prompted many (very eager) Filipino fans to make their own interpretations of what he meant by putting humorous context to the rapper’s post.
His tweet has gotten so popular that it now has over 21,000 likes, 3,200 retweets, and a bunch of replies in Filipino.

@_jrberinguela03 wrote in Filipino after Chance’s “nothing” tweet: “No more classes/work in Metro Manila in all levels??? Come on, clarify it.”
Beringuela added a #WalangPasok (There’s no class) hashtag commonly used by local news programs to show the suspension of classes or work.

Thankfully, fans of Chance the Rapper don’t have to settle with this one tweet as the Grammy Award-winning artist is coming to Manila for a concert in August.
But in the meantime, here’s the song Wala Cam to tide them through ’til next month.
