Cesar Montano sworn in as head of Tourism Promotions Board

And it’s official. 

Actor Cesar Montano has been sworn in as the chief operating officer of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).

The 54-year-old was handpicked by President Rodrigo Duterte himself to head the agency in charge of promoting tourism programs of the country.

According to the Philippine Star, Montano is expected to help with the “implementation of integrated domestic and international promotions and marketing program of the DOT.” He is also expected to be help in the Miss Universe pageant happening next month.

Tourism chief Wanda Tulfo-Teo administered Montano’s oath.

The actor will be serving the government for the first time. He ran for Senate in 2007 but lost.
