If you’ve been following the saga of actor Vhong Navarro’s “saga” involving businessman Cedric Lee, model Deniece Cornejo, and five other people, you’ll get right into this latest plot twist.
The arrest warrants for the grave coercion charges in connection with Navarro’s January 22 mauling, were issued last week by the Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court against Lee, Deniece Cornejo, Lee’s sister Bernice, Simeon Raz, Jed Fernandez, Jose Paolo Calma, and Ferdinand Guerrero.
Only Cornejo and Fernandez immediately posted the PHP12,000 bail.
“At around 7pm on Monday, April 21, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents arrived at Bernice’s West Greenhills home to issue the arrest warrant for the grave coercion case filed against her by Navarro,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Then, at around 8:30pm, Bernice was brought to the NBI’s NCR office where she underwent booking. She was subsequently confined in the same office. *In a way, Bernice is still lucky because she can post the PHP12,000 bail.
The report pointed out that on the morning of that very same day, “arrest warrants for the separate, non-bailable offense of serious illegal detention—still in connection with Navarro’s case—were issued by the Taguig Regional Trial Court against the group, with the exception of Bernice and Calma.”
