Cedric, Deniece, and Zimmer to be transferred to regular jail

No more special detention arrangements for businessman Cedric Lee, model Deniece Cornejo, and martial artist Zimmer Raz.

“The Taguig Regional Trial Court denied the motions of Lee, Cornejo, and Raz to stop their possible transfer to a regular city jail,” reports Camille Diola on Philstar.com.

The three are accused in the assault and serious illegal detention of television host Vhong Navarro, which happened last January.

Lee and Raz are currently detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters in Manila, while Cornejo is under the custody of the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The report noted: “Lee and Raz were arrested on April 26 in Samar and transported to Manila on April 27, while Cornejo surrendered on May 5. They face charges for serious illegal detention and grave coercion.”

The court said keeping Lee, Raz, and Cornejo in their current detention facilities was “against the law,” as their was “no special reason” for them to be placed in the said places.
