Cebu Pacific, the country’s largest airline, said Friday it started waiving fees for rebooking and changes in flight details as long as these are made within 24 hours of the original booking.
Passengers previously paid P1,500 for rebooking of domestic flights, P2,300 for short-haul flights and P2,500 for long-haul flights. The changes took effect on Aug. 1, Cebu Pacific said in a statement.
Penalties for booking amendments that will require changes to the flight sequence were also waived, the airline said.
While booking correction fees were waived, the customer will still need to shoulder the fare difference, it said.
“Rebooking and cancellation fees have been a key concern for passengers, especially those who have been able to avail of low fares. This will benefit them as it truly makes flying with Cebu Pacific more affordable,” said Cebu Pacific vice president fro corporate affairs JR Mantaring.
Cebu Pacific flew 10.1 million passengers in the January to June period.
