Cebu Pacific is taking steps to address flight disruptions and assist passengers after a lawmaker proposed the suspension of its franchise, the airline announced last week.

A Senate investigation has been examining various issues affecting the airline, such as overbooking, flight delays, and other reported concerns.

Cagayan De Oro City 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez has called on Congress to suspend Cebu Pacific’s franchise due to the increasing number of reported disruptions.

In response, Cebu Pacific acknowledged the resolutions being discussed in the House of Representatives.

“After the recent Senate hearing, we have taken the issues raised seriously and are currently implementing several measures to support our passengers,” the airline stated.

“We are eager to share these initiatives with our lawmakers in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration, so that the industry can continue to contribute to the country’s efforts in promoting tourism and economic growth. We remain dedicated to providing safe, affordable, and reliable flights to all our passengers,” the statement added.

Cebu Pacific said that is has already enhanced its customer service, offering assistance around the clock. They have also adjusted their flight schedule and increased the number of standby aircraft to minimize flight disruptions.
