The statement that Cebu Pacific released on this matter doesn’t give the disruptive passengers name. In fact, hardly any details are known about the said passenger. This has only made us more curious about his or her identity.
Cebu Pacific flight 5J 7945 from Dubai and bound for Manila was diverted to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India at 6:55am (Philippine Time) on Thu, Jul 30, 2015, due to a disruptive passenger.
The disruptive passenger was offloaded from the flight, and is now in the custody of the Philippine Consulate in New Delhi, India.
Cebu Pacific said they have informed the passenger’s family of the situation and is coordinating with the relevant authorities in India and the Philippines on this matter.
For the record, Cebu Pacific provided meals and attended to the needs of the passengers while awaiting departure.
Cebu Pacific flight 5J 7945 then departed from New Delhi at 6:31pm that same day and arrived in Manila at 1:33am on Fri, July 31, 2015. CEB arranged the re-accommodation of affected passengers with flight connections via Cebu Pacific.
