Cebu Pacific cancels 72 flights due to NAIA runway closure for Japan’s imperial couple visit

“The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) released a Notice to Airmen indicating a temporary runway closure at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) during certain periods on January 26 and 30, 2016, due to VIP movement, specifically that of Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko,” reports  Ariel Fernandez in Manila Bulletin.

Thus, the following Cebu Pacific and Cebgo flights have been cancelled:

The report noted: “Cebu Pacific and Cebgo are arranging the re-accommodation of affected passengers on the soonest available flights. Those who are unable to take these flights may avail any of the following options without penalties: rebook their flights for travel within 30 days from original departure date; or Opt for full refund or travel fund.”
