CBCP to give psychological training to Yolanda volunteers

Like we said before, whatever works. Bring it on!

“The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines will give a psychological training to volunteers helping survivors of Typhoon Yolanda this coming Saturday, Nov 30, at St. Joseph College along E.Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City,” reports Dennis Carcamoon Philstar.com.

Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo, CBCP-National Secretariat for Social Action Justice and Peace chairman, said they want to empower volunteers to give counselling to survivors in handling trauma and stress.

Pabillo stressed that “there is no educational qualification or experience required of those who want to help the Yolanda-affected families.” Practically everyone is welcome to join the whole-day psychological training spearheaded by the CBCP.
