A bus passenger named Brian Santos was able to record a video of a smackdown that happened between a group of students and some sidewalk vendors in Cubao, Quezon City. The incident happened at around 5pm on Mon, Sep 7.
Initial police investigation said that the students were waiting for their friends. However, they were scolded by the vendors selling cellphones and watches for allegedly block the path.
An argument ensued. It soon became physical. Punches flew and at least one vendor was seen using a wooden club to hit the students. A man in a black shirt was seen punching a student who was wearing shorts.
The four still-unidentified sidewalk vendors were seen fleeing from the scene. Meanwhile, the three have filed a physical injuries complaint against them at Quezon City Police District Station 7.
