A student of De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila was robbed of over PHP40,000 worth of gadgets and valuables inside a restaurant near the school.

SPO1 Claro Ventura of the Malate police said DLSU student Neil Andrei Durugan was eating at the restaurant on Wed afternoon, May 13, when two unidentified men casually entered the place and sat behind the unsuspecting victim.

CCTV footage posted on Durugan’s Facebook account shows the two suspects, dressed as ordinary teenagers, silently stealing the victim’s bag.

Durugan lost a laptop worth PHP40,000, some clothes, shoes, mobile accessories, activity sheets, and school supplies.

The two suspects remain at large.

Meanwhile, Durugan told ABS-CBNNews.com that this is not the first robbery incident in the restaurant located on Castro Street corner Fidel Reyes street, as some of his friends have already been robbed before.

He urged the other victims to surface and file a complaint with the police so the series of robberies will stop. —report by Blessy Tan for ABS-CBNnews.com
