The Manila Police District (MPD) is asking the public to be on alert against the so-called “Akyat Condo Gang,” a robbery group that’s said to be targeting condominium units in Manila.
In the CCTV footage taken last Jun 26 at a condominium in Sta. Ana, Manila, the unit owner is shown going out. A few minutes later, two men are seen entering tha condominium’s complex’s common gate.
The two men then survey the condo units until they find their target. They easily manage to get in and stay there for about 10 minutes. They then leave with their chosen items from the unit.
The unit owner arrived later that day and saw that the place been ransacked. The robbers had taken around PHP200,000 worth of items.
Police noted that the two suspects appear to be the same ones who robbed a condo unit in Sampaloc. —from a TV Patrol report
