It’s really not easy being green—especially if some people aren’t that supportive. Artist and Manila tour guide Carlos Celdran experienced this when his bicycle became the object of mall security guards’ misplaced vigilance.
The enraged Celdran has written about his experience in a Facebook post dated Thursday, April 3. Because, let’s admit it, social media is often the quickest way these days to get people to implement some much-needed changes.

We’re reposting Celdran’s Facebook narrative below:
“To all bicycle enthusiasts, I say this. FUCK ROBINSON’S. #sharetheroad #mobility #sustainable #transport My #puñeta of the day. FUCK YOU Robinson’s Place Malate. No. Seriously. Fuck you from all the bottom of my green heart. After shooing me away from the motorcycle parking, “unless I owned a condo”, your rent-a-cop guards fucking LOCK my bike with handcuffs??? Who the fuck do you think you are?? Above the motherfucking law? Robinson’s is still on Manila soil and you cannot make your own rules – It is NOT illegal to park a bike by a grill – ANYWHERE! I park my bike innocently by the Italianni’s OUTSIDE (And Italianni’s WAS OKAY WITH MY BIKE), and your guards lock it up as if they were the fucking MMDA? Fuck you and fuck them. It’s simply because YOU (ROBINSON’S DEVELOPMENT) DON’T GIVE A SHIT about PROPER URBAN planning (shitty roads, shitty parking, shitty condos, shitty road planning, shitty accessibility), I had NO CHOICE but to lock my bike there. Robinson’s – Fuck you. And as for you Gokongweis – Get your shit together. EVERYTHING YOU OWN is mediocre. Seriously. Stop kidding yourself. #sharetheroad #bicyclerightsforall #fuckROBINSONS #Gokongwei Bikers – share this shit till the fucking cows come home.”
