“On Friday, Feb 14, President Benigno Aquino III said businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles should first speak up about what she knows about the pork barrel scam before the government can even consider her as a potential state witness,” reports Kimberly Jane Tan on GMA News Online.
Aquino said, “Wala pa akong naririnig na gusto niyang ibahagi na impormasyon so, paano natin masasabing dapat maging witness siya kung wala siyang binabahaging impormasyon? So until magsasalita siya, siguro, premature na sabihing puwede siyang maging state witness (I haven’t heard her say that she wants to reveal information, so how can we tell if she can be a state witness? So, until she talks, it’s premature to say she can be a state witness).”
According to the report, Aquino even pointed out how Napoles always denied knowing things when she testified during her Senate appearance last November. He cited a joke that put Napoles in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. *Wait, he watches MMK?
