A Cameroonian-Canadian business owner was shot dead by an unidentified gunman while walking on the streets of Pasay City last night.

Victim Divine Njua Komfum, 47, was found with a bullet hole on his head on Arnaiz Avenue in Barangay (village) 32 before midnight. Authorities found CCTV footage that showed the victim walking toward a corner while being followed by a person wearing a face mask, pants, and a hoodie. Komfum, who was holding his cellphone, turned behind him and was shot by the assailant.

Komfum died on the spot while the gunman fled towards F.B. Harrison. The police arrived after receiving a call about the incident. An empty shell of a cal. 45 firearm was found in the crime scene.

A friend of Komfum, who owned a Parañaque car business, told ABS-CBN News that he knows no one who might have reasons for wanting to kill the foreign national. Pasay City police are currently investigating his death.
