Just when people were giving an embattled politician a little bit of sympathy, his lawyers now want to pretend that nothing happened.
On Mon, Oct 27, Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado said sorry for the controversy that he was involved in after his wife, Josie, accused him of having a 24-tear-old mistress. (Below is a screengrab of the collage posted on ABS-CBNnews.com.)

Now, Tallado’s lawyer, Atty. Adan Marcelo Botor, is practiucally negating the governor’s apology, saying in Filipino, “The governor never said that the ‘sex photos’ that have been leaked online and posted on Facebook are real. What he said is that he is sorry for having dragged the province in his family problem and he is also sorry because the name of [the woman in the photos] was also dragged into his family problem.”
An ANC report also quoted Botor as saying, “There is no statement categorical or otherwise that Governor Egay said or even suggested that the pictures were true. To emphasize, there is no statement that Gov Egay said that the pictures in the net are true. There is even a suggestion by Egay that said pictures may have been the making of some other mindless people.”
Tallado’s estranged wife, Josie, had said that her husband had accused her of leaking some photos that showed him an another woman in intimate poses. She said the governor had gotten so mad at her and threatened to hurt her. That was why she fled from their home.
The two had been married for 28 years.
With the story about the governors alleged infidelity now known to the entire country, he seems to have changed his tactic. Reports say he claims that he is trying to win back his wife.
