Businesswoman shot dead during traffic jam in Parañaque

Police are still investigating the death of businesswoman Yolanda Dela Rosa, 66, who was shot several times while her vehicles was caught in a traffic jam along San Antonio Avenue, Valley 1, Barangay San Antonio in Parañaque City on Tue, Feb 9.

“Manatad was on her way home to Gatchalian Subdivision on board her black Isuzu Sportivo, with plate number PRY-677, when she was attacked around 4pm. She had just attended a hearing from a nearby court at that time,” reports Kristine Felisse Mangunay in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The report noted: “Witnesses told the cops that a man in a motorcycle had been trailing the victim. When the victim got caught in traffic, the killer got off his motorcycle, approached the right side of the victim’s vehicle and fired his gun. After that, he went to the driver’s side of the Sportivo, opened the door, and shot the victim again. He fled on board his motorcycle.”

Police also disclosed that Manatad had a money-lending business and that she was also a complainant in estafa cases lodged in various courts.

Manatad was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Police found four empty shells of a 9mm pistol right outside the vehicle.
