If he didn’t have money, he had no business placing a bet at a cockfighting arena.
“A 41-year-old businessman named Dale Diforontum was arrested for reportedly using fake bills to pay his bet at a cockfighting arena in Caloocan City on Thursday, March 19,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
The report noted that “Diforontum was apprehended by police officers in the Kaybiga Cockpit Arena after Ronald Emperado complained to the arena’s management that Diforontum gave him four fake PHP1,000 bills.”
Diforontum was subsequently charged with “illegal possession and use of false treasury or bank notes and other instruments of credit.”
