This is going to get ugly.
“Filipino-Chinese businessman Tony Tiu tagged in the corruption allegations against Vice President Jejomar Binay on Wednesday, October 22, filed a defamation complaint against Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV,” reports Philstar.com.
Tiu decided to sue Trillanes after the latter tagged him as Binay’s “dummy” for the 350-hectare property in Batangas.
The report noted: “Tiu’s camp wants Trillanes to pay PHP4 million in moral damages as well as PHP1 million in exemplary damages and legal fees.”
The report said that as the complaint was filed by Tiu’s lawyer at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, Tiu faced Trillanes and the rest of the Senate panel in an effort to clear his name from the controversies.
