Maybe there should be a law against people carrying guns while they’re driving.
“A businessman named Edwin Tan, 48, was shot dead by a motorist following a traffic altercation in Valenzuela City at around 9 p.m. on Saturday night, March 21,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
Tan’s killer, Ronel Rin, is now being hunted down by the police.
The report noted: “Police investigation showed that Tan was driving his Toyota Innova along Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Ugong at around 9 p.m. when a Toyota Hi-Lux driven by the suspect overtook his vehicle.”
According to Tan’s companion, Tan just shrugged it off but the suspect again overtook him, this time almost hitting his van.
The report revealed, “Irked, Tan chased the suspect, blocked his car then got out of the vehicle and confronted Rin. At the height of the argument, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim twice then went back to his car.”
Another witness also told police that “Rin once again got out of his car and fired another bullet into Tan before fleeing.”
The report pointed out that “responding police officers recovered the suspect’s identification card at the crime scene.”
