Authorities nabbed one of the two suspects who robbed a bus full of passengers along EDSA-Kamuning in Quezon City on Fri, Feb 17.

But the arrested suspect, Allan Leoniza de Chavez, wasn’t able to return the passenger’s belongings after getting a taste of his own medicine.

He told the police that his accomplice — a man he calls ‘Botchok’ — robbed him.

Pagbaba namin hinoldap din ako, yung baril na hawak niya itinutok sa akin. Bigay ko raw sa kaniya yung baril, inagaw pa sa akin ang bag,” de Chavez told GMA News.

(When we got off the bus, he robbed me, he pointed his gun at me. He told me to give him the gun, he took the bag from me.)

In a ’24 Oras’ report, de Chavez was identified by four bus passengers in the police station’s gallery. He was arrested in his home in Antipolo, Rizal.

De Chavez claims he was pushed to do the crime to finance his wife’s caesarean operation. He also claims ‘Botchok’ made him use drugs and gave him a .38 calibre pistol.

Authorities are now looking for de Chavez’s accomplice.
