“The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is set to issue a 30-day preventive suspension on the franchise of Mayamy Transport following the smashup along Commonwealth Avenue last Saturday, Mar 1, which involved in a 10 vehicles,” reports Janvic Mateo in The Philippine Star.
Bus driver Rolando Laurio claimed that he lost control of the vehicle when he tried to avoid a motorcycle. Unfortunately, the bus he was driving then crossed the center island and hit a motorcycle and eight other vehicles. At least 10 people were hurt in the incident.

Once the said suspension is in effect, Mayamy Transport’s buses will be subjected to road-worthiness inspections.
