In July 2016, 26-year-old Lauren Rosales, was killed by an unidentified gunman while riding a jeep in Makati City in broad daylight.
On Wed, Oct 26, her older brother Petronio Jr. (JR) — who came home to the Philippines to follow up on her case — was shot and killed by two men riding a motorcycle in Makati City.
As if gunning them down wasn’t enough, burglars also attacked their home in Sta. Ana, Manila.
According to a GMA News report, Rosales’ cousin Eloy John de Guzman and JR’s wife discovered the burglary on Fri morning, Oct 28, when they came back for JR’s passport.
De Guzman said they saw the front door’s lock was broken, so they immediately sought help from village officials. Inside, the house — owned by the Rosales siblings’ mother — was in chaos.
Upon investigation, three laptop computers and two TV sets were missing. The value of stolen goods amounted to at least PHP 300,000.
Authorities are currently processing the fingerprints found in the crime scene.
Meanwhile, the Makati Police District has created a special task force to investigate Lauren and JR’s murders.
